An installation company that draws before it cuts.

KERN is written as a compact Utrecht workshop: a lead installer, a heating engineer, and a plumber who still files as-built notes. The people, dates and workshop address are placeholders.

We take plumbing and heating as one trade because the building does. A heat pump that ignores the pipe routes, or a bathroom that ignores the stack, is two invoices and one unhappy winter.

How a job runs

  1. 01

A site visit with a camera, a pressure gauge and the existing drawings if they exist.

  2. 02

A short specification — materials, plant, programme — before a price is fixed.

  3. 03

Installation in occupied buildings with daily close-down.

  4. 04

Handover notes a non-engineer can keep in a kitchen drawer.
